Apex Clinical research is a cutting-edge clinical research site based in Atlanta, GA in partnership with Cobb Nephrology Hypertension associates.
Established in 1985, Cobb Nephrology is a leading medical practice serving the Atlanta metro area with a focus on kidney health, hypertension, diabetes, and other chronic diseases. Our practice spans 3 major hospitals, 2 offices, and 5 dialysis clinics, ensuring comprehensive and accessible care for our diverse patient population. We are also proud to partner with Labcorp as our on-site lab facility, ensuring fast, accurate, and efficient lab services for our clinical trials and patient care needs.

Dr. Anna Schuler
PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR
Dr. Anna Schuler is a board-certified nephrologist with a strong background in clinical research. She completed her Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Florida, where she conducted research on endothelial progenitor cells in diabetics and explored the interactions between nitric oxide, erythropoietin, and VEGF receptors.
Additionally, Dr. Schuler’s research on kidney stem cells in 2007 was recognized with an award in Basic Science from the Southern Society for Clinical Investigation. Fluent in both English and Russian, she brings a global perspective and a commitment to advancing nephrology care and research. -
Dr. Nnaemezie Odioemene
SUB INVESTIGATOR
Dr. Nnaemezie Odioemene is a board-certified nephrologist with over a decade of experience specializing in the management of acute and chronic kidney diseases. He completed his Nephrology Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine, where he developed expertise in treating conditions such as glomerulonephritis, hypertension, and end-stage renal disease.
Dr. Odioemene’s research has been showcased through multiple poster presentations at the National Kidney Foundation, covering topics such as lupus nephritis and glomerulonephritis. With fluency in English, Igbo, and Russian, Dr. Odioemene combines clinical expertise with a commitment to patient-centered research and care. -
Nate Mansperger
RESEARCH COORDINATOR
Nate Mansperger is a clinical research and quality management professional with extensive experience in hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, CAR-T, immunotherapy, and oncology trials. He has a strong background in clinical trial coordination, regulatory compliance, and pharmacovigilance, with proven expertise in AE/SAE detection, reporting, and adherence to ICH GCP and FDA regulations. Nate has successfully managed multi-phase clinical protocols, led patient recruitment initiatives, and collaborated with leading pharmaceutical sponsors to advance complex research programs. His experience includes audit readiness, CAPA implementation, and quality oversight to ensure trial integrity, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
